  I got married in Waterloo village church and the reception was in the meeting hall there. We had a horse and buggy drive us up to the church and then drove us away. It was pretty special. 🍻

  My husband & I were at Allaire State Park today.  We got married at the Chapel in Allaire State Park.  It’s a nice place!

  Mr Roger’s went to court to fight the dam in Walpack? The Hoboken post office was once also in Walpack center?  Wild.

  You should highlight Tuckerton, NJ, which was once a very active seaport. It also had a giant radio tower, the foundation blocks of which are still standing in a residential neighborhood. <br><br>By chance I happened to reside near two of these deserted towns: the Deserted Village of Feltville, and Waterloo Village. There&apos;s not much going on in Feltville, but the park surrounding it is a great place for nature hikes. Waterloo Village still has an active Methodist church, a venue for catered events, and sometimes opens up its old buildings for living history exhibits.

  The Walpack Inn is still there. The food is great. When you drive there, it&apos;s nothing for at least 5-7 miles, then all of a sudden, there is s restaurant with 150 ppl in it for dinner. I used to visit to Waterloo Village with my friends when I was younger, in the 1980&apos;s.

  I&apos;m familiar with Batsto because I went there on a school trip and I really enjoyed seeing all the old places that were there. It left a mark in my mind.

  You for got to mention Waterloo Village hosted the Geraldine R Dodge poetry festival there for many years. And they still have tours according to their website. I believe the church is still active. And the Clip of Mr Rogers testifying in the beginning made this look credible.

  There are so many places in the state of historical importance, most do not even hear about them. &nbsp; Time spent touring these places were one day road trips . &nbsp;Everyone needs a break. Find a place you have never been , and a quick day outing. &nbsp;You don&apos;t hear about Jockey Hollow, &nbsp;the smaller historical sights, areas with a former amusement park . Like the former Palisades Park, Mc Donalds Beach, or Fairy Tale Forest. &nbsp;Like other industries in the state:, times were hard, bigger parks open in other states, or came and went like Jungle Habitat. &nbsp;Areas all over the state have small museums dedicated to local history and forgotten industry. Even depressed or now abandoned &nbsp;cities, townships, and villages .
