I'm an old lady worked in science many years. When i started there was a predominance of men in the lab few women. By the time I retired there were equal numbers of men and women. Scientific thinking is just as good in women as men. I was raised by men (more like a boy) who could fix things and let my sister and I help them and ask questions etc. Made all the difference.

Beatrice Schilling raced motorcycles and did her own mechanic work when very young. She even lapped the field of male riders in a race, her mechanical skills were no secret. Cheers to her memory!

An Engineers engineer. I worked Space Shuttle main engines and though there were over 1,000,000 seconds of hot fire, the engines still had opportunities that required resolving. The entire engine was built with slide rules while computers said it would not work correctly, you had to correct the issue, and now. I can very easily understand the pressure she would be under.

Bless her soul. So many brilliant women like her have been overlooked for ages. It is still going on now. It is a terrible waste for humanity. If our species ever gets smarter, doubtful, the problem will no longer exist. Think of how marvelous things could be.
