  jesus. I&apos;ve been eyeing the remarkable for a while. The prize was pretty steep, but thought that might be a good investment. The subscription thing was a nail in the coffin. I don&apos;t even want to deal with a company that came up with that. Cloud storage and extra features aside the fact that SEARCH, a basic offline feature isn&apos;t included makes it a brick by default. You can never know when the company goes bankrupt and you&apos;re just screwed.

  I got a Boox Note Air 5C two weeks ago, and I still can&apos;t get over how big of an upgrade it is over anything. Write notes, annotate books, do exercises in a pdf workbook, seamlessly. Even the AI features [I hate AI] like scribble over something to erase it just feel so natural. The whole UI is really well thought out - little things like when you finish a book it gives you a list of &quot;adjacent&quot; books so you can just continue to the next part with one click instead of having to close the current book and then fight the UI to find the next part. Loving it so far and using it daily. And with my ADHD where I have a PILE of technology shit I used for two or three days and then into the drawer it went never to be touched again - that says a LOT.
