  Back in the day Nokia N900 came out stock with a version of Linux installed. In fact, it was my intro to Linux. It also had a slide-out landscape qwerty keyboard and a stylus for the resistive touch screen. I loved it, even if there wasn&apos;t all that much app support. For the time it was a beast of a phone

  I remember 15 years ago people said Android was the future because it&apos;s &quot;open source&quot; while ignoring that nearly all of the critical functionality that makes it usable is closed sourced and owned by corporations.
