Some of this interview was trimmed unfortunately.
I remember watching this live and Ray Martin asked Bradman “If you were playing test cricket today Sir Don, how many runs do you think you would score?”
Bradman replied something like “Not that many…maybe 20 or so?”
To which Martin said “Only 20 runs?!!!!!!!!” “Why?”
Bradman replied “Well I am 87 years old Ray!”

As an Englishman I know things progress, but it's sad how Australia has lost these beautiful and unique cricket arenas steeped in so much history to modern sporting bowls. When you go to Lords, or the Oval you can still feel the history there and it feels special. Love these old Australian sporting theatres.

Thanks for uploading. I have been wanting to rewatch this for some time. I taped this when it went to air but that tape is long gone. I think it aired in 1996 rather than 1995 from memory; there is footage of Sachin batting in the 1996 World Cup.

What a great player. Maybe the closest player I ever saw to Bradman was actually a New Zealand batsman called Bert Succliiffe. Incredible batsman.
