  Mr mitch did a fantastic job!! That bull wanted to come back soooo bad. I'm surprised yall don't have face masks or face paint. Not sure if that really matters, maybe a bit of a ground blind. But moving around so much probably don't make sense. What an experience !!!!

  Always a good hunt when Ted is behind the bow.  Elk have that ability to immediately pin you down almost every time....amazing animals!!

  Man that was close. Not knowing what’s around the corner and all the brush and downed trees make it challenging. Makes me want to get in better shape and get out there.

  Maybe a decoy attached to your bow would have given you the ability to move him that last step. Been caught to many times, flat footed to not make an attempt to make him move just that last step, mine normally end the same.. a stare down. Ive found the closer i am to the caller, the better chance i get busted, so ive been moving forward even further. The bull is looking for the caller, and if your near him, any movement will get you busted. My thought is, when I&apos;m out front, the bull will go by me, on his way to the caller and he&apos;s not as alert yet, since he knows the bull he&apos;s after (the caller) isnt close, he&apos;s just plowing ahead. The last few steps are critical, i don&apos;t want to be in that zone.<br><br>Great hunt so far!
