I lived here, on 605 Saratoga Ave until 1971. I went to Arthur S. Somers junior high school--which I hated--and James Madison high school, which I loved. We shopped on Pitkin avenue, Belmont; we were connected to almost everything. We could either take the subway at Saratoga and Livonia or Sutter and East New York; my love of brownstone houses and weeping willow trees started right here!😑
