Great episode (alongside part 1). You mentioned Isabel Nicholas/Rawsthorne. She seems to me to be such a fascinating character in the 20th century art world. A model, a muse but an artist in her own right. Would love to see an episode about her.

There's a recent film out called, Final Portrait, staring the superb actor, Jeffrey Rush as Giacometti, and Armie Hammer as James Lord, the biographer..

- tnx for ur reply - sometimes negatives in an artist’s bio can distract from their work - i can’t be distracted from Giacometti in any way - i think his signature work is true and perfect - and ur Michelangelo 4 parts are perfect too - tnx - C

Hi, guys, been waiting for Giacometti ii! Quick interpolation à la Pinter's "Celebration", the opening q re scale. Possibly help in Prof James Fox's James Lord biography, for now p.33, ps, 177-8. There's much more re frames, sure! Sayonara!

just adding a point to your Giacometti’s essay here: how not to relate Giacometti’s sculptures like Man Pointing to the survivors of the N@zi concentration camps (one of the eye openers of Human’s failure) excepcionally emaciated bodies but yet alive carrying the horrors of men over their shoulders… but Giacometti’s sculptures has so much energy in them like people (men & women) would yet make their mark in Life… well, just thinking out loud.
