  I recall Ed Boon saying years ago he'd like to make a fighting game strictly based on a roster of horror and scary movies characters. I was hyped tbh.

  Everytime I think gaming is dead I am reminded that there are still people out there that wants to make fun games, they just dont work in any of the major studios.

  Capcom was actually already in the middle of making the Resident Evil 2 remake some time during development of RE2 Reborn. They were actually civil and invited the Reborn devs to see an early build of RE2MAKE and politely asked them to rework their game into an original IP. They also promoted a mega man fan game as an official project for its and Street Fighter's anniversary.

  Terrordrome looked like a legit game made by a studio. For two guys, it's pretty impressive on visuals alone. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into making the characters look accurate to the movies they are from. And you can tell that they had to create all those assets. They aren't just ripped off of other game assets because there weren't any games with obscure movie characters like Pumpkin Head, or the mad intern from reanimator. I am shocked that a giant Critter wasn't a playable character. Or one of the bounty hunters with a special move that lets them copy the other player's specials, and you see them shapeshift into the other character and copy their special before turning back into the faceless bounty hunter. And you notice a lot of those are Full Moon movie characters. So you can tell they were fans of Full Moon movies. They were an underrated studio back in the day. They were considered sort of a B movie studio, yet they produced so many cult classics, and made their mark on movie monster history despite having a reputation for being the cheaper horror movies.

  Netherrealm Studios needs to buy the Terrordrome IP, bring the creators on as producers, and remake it with their AAA budget. This is how they can capitalize off the legendary name recognition of this thing. They already do it with the DLC characters in new Mortal Kombat games, it's time to lean in and print money!

  Played it. If it still got updated. I would have liked to see Art the Clown as well as other new horror characters that have happened well after this fan project released.<br><br>Update: just learned this but it looks like an extended version was being worked on by another team and Art and a few others are in the works but not so sure if its still alive because none of the socials are active on the website so its hard to tell. But its nice that someone tried to add to it.

  I remember finding this game as a kid and hooking up my 360 remote to my parents computer and having an awesome day.
