  My mother was an alcoholic and eventually died from her addiction. I found her passed away at her home. Reading about Matthew’s addiction has given me a different point of view . It’s like he’s explaining exactly how she felt , why it was so hard for her to stop. It is a massively misunderstood disease that deserves far more understanding and respect.<br><br>I hope he found some peace ❤

  ‘Alcohol wants you alone, it wants you sick and then it wants to kill you’. &nbsp;I have borne witness to this line since I was a small child. Prayers to all those struggling with addictions.

  I’m a retired paramedic and I have seen addicts in all shapes, sizes colors, age groups, etc. etc. Addiction does not discriminate. He is very lucky that he could afford to go to all the treatment centers he went to. Some people aren’t so lucky. I read this book and it was fantastic. I wish him nothing but the best and it is my hope that we take addiction a lot more seriously in this country and have a better facilities for people to get well in.

  People really nailed it when they said losing Matthew Perry felt like losing an actual friend. I feel like I knew him, even though I didn’t. He’s the only celebrity who I’ve ever felt connected to even though we never met. RIP friend. You were loved.

  I am so very saddened that the &quot;rest of his life&quot; was only 11 months. He struggled so much in his life, but brought so much joy to many, myself included. He was brave to share his story. I pray it helps many people like he wanted it to. RIP Matthew. I pray God has brought you peace and comfort. Thank you for all the laughs, and I am so sorry that your life ended too soon.

  This is one of the most honest interviews I&apos;ve ever seen - he was so open, relaxed, didn&apos;t try to play Chandler or be funny, and so vulnerable. It is such a great discovery of this beautiful person who suffered much but still stayed so deeply human. Rest in peace Matthew, we will remember you like this.
