  I think the saddest thing about destiny is that they have done nothing but take from the franchise for 6 years, and then they shut it down because it wasn’t “performing”, how do you take the gas and wheels off a car and wonder why it doesn’t drive fast

  Pete Parsons is the main villain of the series. Every piece of underwhelming content, every lie, every greedy microtransaction implement was all because of him and likeminded leadership at Bungie. They specifically underdeliver content because in their own words &quot;Overdelivery is bad for business&quot;. They reeled back content for the sake of keeping player expectations low. That is what killed the game. Well that AND Pete hogging all the money from Sony instead of investing it into the game. Can you imagine a D2 where they didn&apos;t hold themselves back? Where they actually tried their hardest and put as much care and effort into each and every DLC and seasonal experience? The game would&apos;ve gone on forever I assure you.

  Now all the pieces fit. All those delays on expansions. The lies of not using bungie staff for Marathon. Just a petty company with a vendetta. Never believe a company&apos;s press releases. They&apos;re the total opposite of what they actually did.

  That’s absolutely unreal that Marathon was in the contract back in may 2012. It really goes to show how much of a complete disaster this whole situation has been with the studio and its games.
