Wealth isn't a salary it's a discipline . I am stealing that thanks.

I fully appreciate how lucky I was to live in Canada, be employed and buy a home. In retirement I feel safe and appreciate that feeling. The one thing in my control was to learn to enjoy life while living below my means. Stuff does not buy happiness. Experiences do. And security leaves room for appreciating opportunities.

I've been a renter all my life and maxed out my rrsp/tfsa for 30 yrs and now have almost $2mil in my stock/etf portfolio. don't need to buy a house to accumulate wealth.

Couldn't agree more. Leaving isn't always about conflict or frustration; sometimes it’s just the quiet realization that you’ve outgrown the space you're in. Once you see that staying requires you to pause your growth, stepping out becomes the most logical decision you can make.

I’m glad someone made a Canadian version of “Nick Invests” videos

5:01 - Nobody making 60K as a couple in NB has maxxed their RRSP and TFSA contributions every year, let alone made 42K a year in contributions towards retirement.

Great video.
Basically failing to plan is planning to fail.
Always nice to know what side of the equation I'm on.

That’s very well said. Wealth is discipline.

I don't own my home, but I put away as much as I can in my TFSA, and now my RRSP (I believe the former to be better than the other). Compounding is everything with time. Don't spend so much more when you earn more.
