The final "As you wish" in this film always leaves me in tears.

You cut the Wesley v. the Giant scene? Inconceivable!

30:20 When there was talk around Hollywood about remaking The Princess Bride a while back, Cary Elwes made his position clear on a remake thusly: "There's a shortage of perfect movies in the world. It would be a pity to damage this one."

So many scenes cut that people waited to see your reaction to,including the fire swamp, the battle with Andre, and most inconceivably the last line. 😮

I love watching people discover this movie for the first time, especially ones that know not to take it too seriously. But it's just an all around great movie with some great actors in it. It's too bad that Andre the Giant didn't get to do very much for the big screen. He was such a gentle giant. Rest in Peace Andre and know that your fans miss you very much.

The best secret no one catches- Indigo says hes been in the revenge business so long he doesnt know what to do, and Westley is going to make him the dread pirate Roberts- well, robert's pirate ship is named "the Revenge", so Indigo will have revenge back in his life to carry on.

31:24 All of the injuries that Inigo gives the Six Fingered Man are the same ones that the Man gave him.

Mady Patinkin(Inigo Montoya) had lost his father in the year prior to filming this. He imagined delivering, " I want my Father back you son of a bitch" to the cancer that took his father. This explains the emotion and power behind that delivery.

That scene with the miracle worker was the most expensive scene to make, because the actor, Billy Crystal, made the cast, crew and Director laugh so much that they had to do so many retakes. They even had to throw the Director out of the room because he couldn't control himself when watching Billy.
