Fun fact: Billy Crystal, Miracle Max, was told to ad lib his lines and he ended up making the cast and crew laugh so hard and break so many takes that it became the most expensive shot in the movie for all the film they used. The director himself had to be removed for messing up takes with laughter and Mandy Patinkin, the actor who played Inigo Montoya, suffered his only injury during filming from bruising his ribs holding in his laughter every take. The world NEEDS the full outtake reel!

Mandy Patinkin, who played Inigo Montoya, lost his father to cancer when he was 18 years old. He was still processing his grief years later when he made The Princess Bride. He said about the part: “From the minute I read the script, I knew. I said… ‘I’m gonna do this part because, in my mind, if I get this six-fingered guy, that means I killed the cancer that killed my dad.”

"I don't understand how this movie can be so funny and so sincere at the same time." Welcome to why it's a classic you'll love forever, just like the rest of us do. ♥

I was so glad you not only included the final exchange with the grandfather but commented on "As You Wish". I see so many reactors either not include that moment or not comment on what it means in the context of the movie. For me, it's one of the sweetest parts of the entire movie.

After a life of portraying beasts like Bigfoot, and being in the Wrestling circuit for many years, Andre was so happy with this role. He was in a great deal of pain at this point, but you'd never know it from the movie.

The funniest thing about Viccinis logic is he's correct, he just fails to follow through to his own conclusion, which is that he can't drink either glass

Thank you for not thinking that the grandfather was Wesley just because he said, "As you wish", and knowing that he was just saying, "I love you".

Inigo spent his whole life preparing for revenge.
He got it twice. He defeated the six-fingered man and became captain of a ship called Revenge.
Thank you for your reaction.
