  I have a friend that caught a 10 pound bass at one of our lakes on a crank bait then he took it home and released it in his pond. After that first catch it would only accept soft baits.

  I've caught tons of 5lb bass and a few 7lb and 8lb bass. All of them were on big worms, lizards, Tanuki Bug, and creature bait soft plastics

  I just stumbled onto this channel a month or two ago looking at fishing with jigs. I grew up throwing crank baits in my usual fishing spots but now days my main lake is relatively shallow and highly vegetated so more of a frog/jig paradise. Randy drops good info as it has definitely helped my last few outings (enough that I've out fished my son who is a better fisherman than me just don't tell him I said that!).

  I found out last year that certain colors with the same baits will pick up where the other ones lay off. It's crazy how switching colors can cause the smaller bass you catch to weigh over a lb more than the previous one.

  You are the best, I learned a lot from you since I been fishing for bass . Fished in Europe then in canada ,started ocean fishing in Florida en now later in life got hooked on bass and peacock fishing. Thanks for your help, merry Christmas
