Condemned: Criminal Origins was one of those horror games that shaped me growing up. The Department Store still unsettles me years later.

Between this game, F.E.A.R. and No One Lives Forever, Monolith was absolutely cooking during the 2000's.

This is the only game that has truly terrified me to the point where I couldn't finish. The atmospheric long quiet walking, the little sounds that come from all around you. It's actually scarier when there's nothing on the screen to fight.
I have not touched the sequel. I doubt the big baby in me will ever let me.

As someone who did play it when it came out, i most definitely did not finish it in one go, way too scary for me back then, but its still one of the best horror games and still holds up today.

Very excited to watch all this over the next few days, always enjoy going down memory lane with games i played when i was young.

I remember when I was a kid. I was getting into console gaming and I saw my older brother play this and Condemned 2 at the time and I was intrigued. Watched him play it fully this and part 2. I asked to try and he was like nah you're not ready. Now at the time I was into shooters and story driven games but wanted to test it out with a horror game. Later on I'll say in my teens he told me to try it and as scared as I was for Criminal Origins it was a blast. Became one of my fav horror games. How funny because what made him let me play it was he bought FEAR 3 for me at the time to do co-op with him Guess it was his way to bring me into horror I guess lol but this game holds a soft place in my heart.

I absolutely love the way you honor all the games. Games became a bit like fast food. No booklets and often not even cases or discs anymore. I play videogames since 1998. i appreciated games like you. As I bought a new game, i opened it and read everything before starting the game. Over the years I began to rush through that process. Why? I don’t know why. Then i discovered your channel and how you pay attention to all the details. You celebrate it the right way. I enjoy so much watching you doing it. And you made me do it again. It takes more time (probably the reason I lost it over the years) but I enjoy everything much more. Thank you for this eye opener. You give games the value they deserve. Please never change that process.
