  Nene is really smart. She understands the “tease and release” concept in performance. She gives us something delicious, but only a little at a time, building the anticipation until the climax, then suddenly it’s over. That’s her intelligence as a performer. She leaves us wanting more. 🔥

  Yeah, this is all about joy. That’s what we’re all feeling. We are so happy for her. If we’re old, we love her like a granddaughter. If we’re middle age, we love her like a daughter. If we’re young we want her as our lover. At the end of the clip she jumps up and says, “I’m so happy!” So are we, darling, so are we.

  “Zombie” showed us the surprise factor, but “Hysteria” proved that Nene Royale is the real deal. This is not an easy song to perform, and yet she looked completely at home on that stage. Somehow, the bigger the stage gets, the bigger Nene becomes. She has that rare rock-star presence.

  She must be from another planet—how does she do it? Singing while strumming chords is common and simple enough, but she performs an incredible feat: singing while simultaneously playing guitar riffs with fingers that never stop moving. Her nervous system might well be extraterrestrial, possessing superhuman capabilities far beyond those of ordinary people.

  One of the most amazing things about Nene—and something many people probably didn’t notice in this performance—is what she does at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcd4S2csuIY&amp;t=140">2:20</a>. She’s singing while playing the bassline at the same time, which is something that even many rock vocalists don’t usually do. Most of the time, they simply focus on singing. <br> <br>But on this stage, you can really see how hard she has trained and how determined she is to show what she can actually do.
