  Nene shared the story behind it: <br>Three days before the results show, the AGT production team asked her to choose and rehearse a Linkin Park song; <br>she selected &quot;The Emptiness Machine,&quot; though no further details were provided at the time. <br>When the news broke that Linkin Park would be performing on the results show, Nene hoped for a chance to collaborate (as she mentioned on her personal page). <br>On the afternoon of the results show, the team surprised Nene by bringing Linkin Park to her rehearsal room. <br>(Nene&apos;s father recounted that they rehearsed together just once, for about 3–4 minutes.) <br> <br>Linkin Park showed great kindness toward Neneh Royale. <br>They gave her the center-stage spot, and Mike even handed over his vocal parts to her—all while sharing warm smiles and glances throughout the performance. <br>Neneh didn&apos;t need to be the standout star, nor did she need to try to outshine Emily. <br>Everything came together beautifully; Emily delivered a flawless, powerful, and melodious vocal performance. ❤

  I could listen to Nene’s voice all day and all night. Even when she’s screaming, it doesn’t hurt my ears at all. I could listen to her forever 😚 🎵

  I real enjoy hearing Nene&apos;s voice in addition to how she plays guitar and the stage presence she has is remarkable. Her playing with Linkin Park is a highlight of the last two months as well as the fun song she did with The Warning. Nene is not a flash in the pan and I see her as a top concert draw once she is finished with her schooling. &nbsp;Thanks for your reaction as it helps , Nene to be better known! &nbsp;😊

  Thank you for picking up on the issue with Nene mic. There was certainly a difference in volume levels. Most unfortunate.

  Nene received tremendous opportunities and kindness from both Linkin Park and AGT—experiences she will likely cherish for a lifetime. <br>Nene did not need to be the standout performer. <br>This was a special performance by a guest, not a competition act for the show. <br>The sound engineer lowered Nene&apos;s mic volume because she was covering Mike Shinoda&apos;s part, and during rehearsal, <br>Mike specifically asked her to lower her backing vocals by one level to match their lead singer&apos;s voice.

  I love how you acknowledge the balance part!!! Those are really important for making good harmonic performances imo for a 2nd singer or backing vocals

  This was a great performance, Nene was truly professional about her performance with this legendary band and totally nailed it - Emily said as much in a later interview!<br>So now you’ve seen this one it wouldn’t be complete without watching her other performance with her other influence - The Warning, where she performed their #1 Billboard charts single Kerosene, another amazing performance, again she nailed it and loved every second of it!

  Check out “The Emptiness Machine” live—you’ll see Alex playing that guitar part. For this AGT performance, Nene basically stepped into Alex’s role, playing his guitar part while singing Mike’s vocal. Since Mike’s part is mixed lower in the original, that may explain why Nene’s mic sounded lower too. She did a great job and served the song perfectly. Honestly, if I didn’t know Nene, I’d think she was already part of the band! 🔥

  What is most amazing about this performance is that it was a literal last minute decision to make it happen. Nene needed about three minutes to learn and sync her performance. From what reports say, all she needed was one note on adjusting her pitch - and it was done. They did one take, three minutes, then stepped on stage.<br><br>And the poor guy up against her was a mediocre stage magician. He&apos;s charismatic, but he&apos;s not an impressive magician - and he&apos;s up against a complete and total rockstar who has taken the entire world by storm. I can&apos;t even imagine.
