Funny fact being that this wasn't even the largest eruption in the last thousand or so years. That title goes to Samalas on the neighbouring island of Lombok in 1257 which ejected at least double the amount of sulphur, caused its twin volcano Rinjani to collapse and created its own climatic chaos and famines etc.

TY for posting.<br>The year after Mt St Helen exploded, we had a cold wet summer in Alberta. And that was a smallish eruption.<br>When Pinatubo erupted, 2 wet, cold summers, a much bigger, equitorial eruption

There are many eruptions at least circumstantially connected to various disasters including arrival of the black plague in Europe. They can kill millions of people directly or indirectly.

In recorded human history yeah this would be classed as the world's deadliest. But Mount Toba that erupted 74,000 years ago and nearly wiped out early humans was far worse and bigger, then you have the Siberian Traps which caused an extinction event many millions of years ago. So technically Tambora isn't the world's deadliest, it's just one of many.

Very ironic how another natural cycle the is happening again today and is never talked about, at the time of this eruption we also in a grand solar minimum ether the dalton or mounder minimum a period of record low solar activity and a drop in total solar irradiance this volcanic eruption just exsubrated a problem already happening it just was the icing on a very problematic cake.
