I’ve worked in the Indiana limestone quarries for almost 30 yrs.Alot has changed for the better a lot safer and easier. Still a lot quarries and mills around Bedford and Bloomington. As long as they are rock it will still be going in a 100 yrs

Many homes were also built using Bedford Stone on their exteriors. Absolutely beautiful still to this day!

Logansport Indiana was vital to the transportation of Limestone, also home of many quarries itself, but it’s importance came due to the connection to the Erie Canal

1983 Bloomington. A guy in my dorm was from Bedford, and he took me via some back roads of Oolitic, to Empire Quarry, where we went for a swim. It was beautiful--but we didn't try any crazy dives off those cliffs.

Hey Ryan! Please make an episode about "Lannon Stone" sourced from quarries in Lannon, Wisconsin. It is the whitest limestone ever found. Sadly, there's not much left.

Well done video. I work on the National Mall, and having an in depth look at where the limestone that is in the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials comes from is fascinating.
