  For the Suns, I also hated the Bridges trade for on-court and especially off-court reasons, but people have to stop including Royce O&apos;Neale&apos;s defense as a loss for the Suns. They will miss his shooting and passing (and pump-fakes), but his lateral quickness has fallen off a cliff and he was a bad to below average defender last season. Losing Grayson Allen is more impactful, but the Suns may just not trust him to stay healthy. They seem to be betting on Kennard replacing Grayson&apos;s shooting at a much lower price, but we&apos;ll see if Ott is finally able to turn Kennard into a volume shooter (Gillespie is trying to help with that). I would have preferred that they kept Grayson and just traded Royce, which probably would have meant Rasheer Fleming starting at the 4 spot. Short term they would be worse, but possibly better in the long term.<br>In terms of the starting lineup, I have a lot of the same concerns about their shooting and playmaking, as well as their rebounding, especially after the Mark Williams injury. Williams being out lowers their floor, but it could raise their ceiling depending on the development of the other centers. If Oso starts, he adds some of the playmaking that they need and turns them into a solid switching unit, but his size and complete lack of shooting might cancel those advantages out. If Maluach starts, then the Suns have to hope that what he showed in Summer League can at least partially translate, but even rookie Maluach was the best defender in their center rotation (in very limited minutes). His 3 point shot is still hypothetical, but if it&apos;s ready then the starters and Booker in particular would benefit from having a big that can space the floor, which Booker has only had a few times with backups like Baynes and Šarić.<br>The starters are still limited by Green, Brooks, and Bridges having overlapping skillsets and deficiencies. That could be at least partially resolved by moving Green to the bench and replacing him with Gillespie or Goodwin, but it doesn&apos;t seem like the Suns are willing to do that. The bench is one topic that wasn&apos;t addressed, but it&apos;s is a solid unit that I think can keep them in and potentially win them a lot of games, even with Oso or Maluach starting now. Gillespie and Goodwin are dogs, I still believe in Ryan Dunn (especially if he&apos;s playing less at the 4), and Fleming just needs more experience and confidence before he becomes an elite 3-and-D guy.<br>I&apos;m biased, but I would probably have the Suns ranked a few spots higher, in the 15-18 range, which is mostly because I&apos;m lower on some of the teams you haven&apos;t discussed yet like the Warriors and the Hornets.

  Assuming the hornets will take more 3&apos;s doesn&apos;t track for me. Wouldn&apos;t the absence of LaMelo put more pressure on them to get downhill since the quality of shots may go down. Which would make them more selective on what kind of 3&apos;s they take.
