This was the story that hooked me in the 1970s. I had nightmares for weeks after seeing the enactment done on "The legend of Bigfoot." While moving to the Olympic peninsula from Pennsylvania 10 years ago, I had to stop there, south of Randle, WA to, from a distance, see the Ape canyon area. That whole area from just west of Yakima, on Rte 12, is almost the squatchiest highway in the country.

I watched the Small Town Monsters video of the discovery of the cave, it was amazing and also very scary just how dangerous a climb it was.
