  My dog lept between my husband and myself in apparent complete trust in us to protect her. &nbsp;After my husband died she changed. &nbsp;She sleeps next to me until she thinks I am asleep. &nbsp;Then she gets off the bed and goes to her preferred basket. &nbsp;When she is asleep on my bed she aligns her back with mine - almost touching, but not quite. &nbsp;I love her more than I can ever say!

  My dog somehow manages to take over half the bed every single night, and I&apos;ve spent years joking that he&apos;s the world&apos;s worst roommate. 😂 But hearing that sleeping against us might actually be how they feel safe completely changed the way I see it. Maybe he wasn&apos;t stealing my space at all... maybe that little bit of contact was his way of saying, &quot;I sleep better because you&apos;re here.&quot; Suddenly losing a few inches of mattress doesn&apos;t seem like much of a sacrifice. ❤🐾

  I&apos;m grateful that my two dogs allow me to sleep in their bed. I can&apos;t imagine not having my best friends sleep with me

  My puppy was found wondering outdoors at less than 3 months, she&apos;d been dumped, in December.<br>I got her from the SPCA after a week in their system.<br>For her first nights she slept in her crate, I got up every 3 hours to take her outside for potty training. &nbsp;On the 3rd night it was snowing, and under freezing temps. I took her to my bed at 3am, she snuggled in and slept all night.<br>8 years later and nothings changed.
