9/10 when I can’t find a solution clairvoyance shows me a path through a solid wall which does not open. It’s just a wall 😂

You forgot to mention that runes are useful for grinding too because you get xp relative to the number of enemies you hit so if you hit 3 or 4 enemies with just one rune you get a lot of xp points with the same amount of magicka

One of my favourite spells is Magelight. It's fun to cast and when cast a bit up on a wall or on an outcrop, statue etc, it functions just like a lamp. I play in first person so Candlelight doesn't really work well, but Magelight? No problem.

Plus you can use it to target prey. I once tested it on a deer and saw it run off with the Magelight attached to it.
That was a fun day.

Edit: Oh, and I am listening to this at 08:52 in the morning, in Sweden.

Current character is actually making excellent use of flaming familiar. You can't improve a pickaxe as a weapon but you CAN enchant it with fiery soul trap; I used a greater soul gem (didn't have a grand at the time). Also don't have full enchanting yet, so only one enchantment - but two effects. And being a devotee of Namira, she actually has 2 crippling diseases right now; so the pickaxe is doing 1 damage - plus the fire damage, plus whatever poison I throw on it, and a flaming familiar on top of that to weaken her enemies before she rushes in for the final devastating blow. She's literally a disease-ridden woman dressed in ragged robes wielding a pickaxe and guarded by an exploding hellhound. And I haven't increased her magicka, either - only her health.

Not the most godlike way to play but it's a fun sort of RP and you'd be astonished how powerful a flaming familiar actually is at low levels.

Another useful feature of Vision of the 10th Eye is it's incredibly obvious when it's active, it lasts 30 seconds, and it's unaffected by any perks that increase spell duration. Without mods to alter potion durations, fortify smithing and enchanting effects only last 30 seconds. So I use it as an indicator for when my crafting potions are about to run out so I don't waste any materials or botch anything.

On another note, watch out for those MUD crabs. They have been gaining experience since the early 80's so they're all end bosses.

3 am in illinois.
every character (i've never played all the way through the main quest) i have played, even pure warriors, i use clairvoyance and csndlelight. i use the hell outta clairvoyance, actually. like, others would probably say too much.
my real-world sense of direction is pretty good, but i get hopelessly lost in games really easily, and if i'm on a mission, i don't want to spend two hours trying to reach an objective because I took a wrong turn somewhere.

Probably not much realized, but magelight will trigger a rune trap. Disarm ones laid for you, or detonate those you put next to a sleeping drauger, that somehow missed overlapping their hit box and therefore didn't go off.

Runes are also likely underutilized. Especially buffed, 2-handed casts with destruction at high level, if cast so as to overlap a sleeping drauger in its crypt (revealed by aura or detect), will sometime kill them outright. With the range extension on runes, usually won't even alert the other ones nearby.

Currently doing laundry in Kansas at 8:55 AM. I love using candlelight. Makes fighting draugrs in pitch darkness much easier.
