  The story where the woman shot her husband...even though the dispatcher didn't ask if the person could be someone she knew coming inside, I can't believe it didn't occur to her that it could be her spouse.  Her freaking out like she did would only make sense if nobody would be coming home or if she lived alone.  Either she wasn't all that smart, or she planned to do this on purpose.

  That dispatch person (and all 911 operators, really) is a hero in their own right. I can’t imagine some of the wild stuff they experience directly or vicariously. Under stress like that, it must be hard to maintain enthusiasm to show up day after day. Props to you OP. I hope you find relief through counseling or other means.

  The last story about the evil stepmonster makes me SO ANGRY! It&apos;s inexcusable that children are raised with no parent ever truly looking out for their best interests or having the nerve to put them first because it&apos;s easier to let their spouse mistreat their kid than to stand up for them. <br><br>These kinds of stories always remind me how blessed I was to have a mother who always believed me and I knew I could count on her to take my side over ANYONE else, including my father or much-older siblings.<br><br>My aunt - my dad&apos;s much okder sister - treated her kids and grandkids like they were afterthoughts whose only use was to do chores and never complain, and to accept snide, hurtful comments pretty much daily. When she tried treating me that way, my mom stood up to her and told her she was a terrible mother and her attempts to put me down or make me feel &quot;less than&quot; would not be tolerated.<br><br>I can&apos;t imagine the lasting damage knowing your parents would never be on your side must have done to my cousins and their kids. I feel bad for them, and also have a bit of sympathy for that nasty aunt because all her kids basically cut her out of their lives once they were adults. They always credited their aunt - my amazing mom - with being extremely important in helping build their self-esteem in their youth because mom stood up to their mother on their behalf, too.<br><br>I can see now why my two older siblings always were jealous of me because it took a while for my mom to grow into her own power and my sibs had to deal with our aunt&apos;s nastiness until their late teens while my mom nipped it in the bud by the time I was about 4 or 5 years old (they were already 15 and 16 by this time).<br><br>I will always be grateful for my extraordinary mother and cherish her love and support throughout my life. She&apos;s been gone over 10 years now but I carry her with me in my heart and soul every day. I would not be the strong, independent woman I am without her example 🥰💞

  Your narration is perfect! I listen to these while working around the house &amp; I find myself stopping to just listen because I get so engaged in the story! Lol &nbsp;Keep up the great work! 💜
