You know Texas has the second biggest Grand Canyon? Its called Palo Duro Canyon and its closer to Fort Worth if you'd like to check it out.

Hill Country around Fredericksburg is Texas "Wine Country" -- lots of great wineries, breweries, distilleries, and has a massive German historical influence. Also some of the best driving/scenic/motorcycle roads and routes in the US.

New Braunfels (near San Antonio) has a beer and sausage festival Nov. 6 - 16. Do some research on it and come visit if it's in y'all's plans. Crazy good times!

I know others have said this but he has to make sure the F-150 needs to be an extended cab (4 doors) and he cannot leave any luggage unattended in the flat bed. Which brings up another problem: if people see you moving luggage from the flat bed to the inside of the truck it screams break in.
