It was truly mind bending how quickly I went from hero to zero with her. One day I was the only thing she ever wanted, the next day I was on trial for every emotion she couldn't handle and sent to the discard pile.

The worst part is how I gave her 200 percent of my heart, soul, time, energy to her...an all she did was run off, abandoned, spewing hate and embarrass me! She cared more about strangers at the bar than me.

I was married for over 40 years to a covert narcissist, who finally imploded and killed herself, almost killing me in the process. All the way through, she manipulated me, she lied about everything, she would never apologize or admit guilt about anything, she betrayed me in numerous ways, she had numerous secret affairs, she gaslit me, she belittled my deepest thoughts and she stayed emotionally remote from me. She killed herself in a way designed to bring the maximum emotional pain to me. I've been alone for 5 years now, I have not touched another woman and most likely never shall. I am happy and peaceful alone.

Disagree with the low self worth, they find someone with high self worth, hijack their emotional bonding chemicals through sex and attention, then when you're hooked they demean you slowly because of their own fragile sense of self. You don't come into the relationship like that, you leave like that, and that's exactly their goal, to tear you down for their own enjoyment. If you flip them off and walk out the door because you see through them, they become afraid of you, and quite frankly that brings me immense joy.
