  As an American woman married to a Brazilian man for 39 years and now retired in Brazil- first I couldn’t stop laughing. Amazed you didn’t wait a little longer to marry- but also seems you are going through something at this very moment. You learn to appreciate the zest for life and love of family as well as the overt intimacy. You are also generalizing a lot. Where you live does influence a lot, as well as socioeconomic levels. I got lucky with my choice of a Brazilian man, and love his loud family since my American family is also loud. Living here has taught me a lot and I welcome all the beautiful differences between our cultures. It would be good for every human to be tossed into a totally new culture for a bit.

  My wife is Brazilian. Loud, uses her hands, insane whatsapp voice message conversations, huge lunches, obsessed with cleaning, horrible time management, weird clothing style and ruining steak making it well done with falofa. But shes still the bedt part of my life

  I married a wonderful Sulista in 1994 . I semi retired in 89 at 35 married at 39 years old after traveling the world between 76 and 89. We pass summers between SF and the rest of the year between Floripa and Águas Termas. We are in our 70's and 60's and she is as great kind hearted soul dedicated ❤️ of my life. Lucky for us.
