A 12 pulse VFD uses a transformer. Might be what you are looking at. We installed one a couple years back, 600HP Toshiba.

Why didn't you reuse the old transformers?
Old transformers are essentially as good as new, maybe better!

I once worked at home depot as a over night lumber recovery operator. Had my lift rear light die on me amd asked around where the dye electric grease was. Everyone called me crazy saying there is nothing like that. I continued my job with a 25 ton lift with no back up light.

I have been an electrician for over 25 years. I love the level of craftsmanship you display. If only.... I have always said there are installers and professional electricians. The difference being an installer will land the bottom entry wires to the load side and top entry wires to the line side of a disco without ever questioning if the bottom feeder was actually the line. And don't get me started on shunt trip breakers..... I have never been a tech and I am slowly getting up to speed on what is going on in your videos I have an intermediary knowledge of controls, but always hungry for more. I used to do all of the lighting controls and built ansul systems for the last company I worked for.The explosion NEVER gets old by the way. Anyway, you made me go research that thingy I thought was a nakid transformer. Line reactor. Keep up the good work!

My son recently got into the field with a company that does mainly waste water plants....soooo now he's watching your vids too. You impacting the next generation. Thank you!!

ah good to see im not the only one who uses those style of crimps backwards. thats become my trademark at work. we have close clearances on either side of where the terminal connects, and putting it on backward allows you to use a wrench rather than a socket and ratchet.
