  I guess it's kind've a testament to Bungie's game design that this list is lore accurate. The Flood are consistently the biggest threat in every game. Having to deal with them really makes you understand why the Forerunners created the Halos lol

  Giving the Flood energy shields in Halo 2 so the fragile but overwhelming horde enemy become bullet sponges is certainly one of the gaming design choices of all time.

  The reason Flood Elites are so inconsistent is that they’re bugged as hell, basically, the Destroyed Torso permutation of the Flood Elite Combat Form was wrongfully labelled as Destroyed Head, so hitting a headless Elite Combat Form in the torso won’t do any damage, you can only kill them by either shooting their legs, shooting/punching the infection form in their chest, or using explosives.
