Good to give a warning of tipping the burner assembly, and the section on what can happen if you do "over angle" during installation. :)

I have the exact same steam engine but it leaks steam just about everywhere. 15 Minutes of running time? Only about 5, max! What am I doing wrong here?

I’ve seen other videos putting this kit together but none of them explain so many details about how it works! Thank you so much for the explanations!!

Superb video. I just had to stop the video and purchase one and I'm also looking at the hit and miss engine.

The see-through end cap water level indicator, is actually really clever. Usually it's just a glass window - which however is surprisingly difficult to "read", because there is obviously no light inside the boiler. With this design, there is a reflective surface, that works very well reflecting the outside lighting, and iluminates the water. So it's an idea I hope to use in a future boiler build. Though the inspection glass will be rectangular, just because it evokes a feeling more like a prototypical sight glass. (Also, perhaps the water surface to read, boils a little less violently with this design?)

This was my first model steam engine build. After that, i was hooked. Built countless steam and Stirling engine models since then. Probably the most satisfying and relaxing hobby I've ever had.

Really enjoyed your video. I run a couple of very simple steam boats in Golden Gate Park San Francisco <br>and your video has given me more information about running steam.

I'm sorry, but the music make my head hurt and it gets very annoying to watch through the video.

Why do I see the same steam engine kit with prices that range from US $$ $35.99 to over $330.- ? They all look very much alike.

Runs much better if the whole thing is in flames.

Nice video, can't fault that. But I did start watching this video with the belief, and hope, that it would show how to actually make, as opposed to assemble, a steam engine. My own goal is to build one from scratch without access to a lathe or milling machine, or even a drill press, so I was disappointed to discover that this video did not do that.
