"There's a whole galaxy out there waiting to disgust you." - last words of Luthen Rael, Father of the Rebellion, BBY1

As soon as Luthen said " Yavin" to Lonny he was dead. I think it was a last test to see if he heard of it, he didn't seem to, so to Luthan it meant the ISB didn't know of it yet, either.

He went from killing Lonni straight to briefing Kleya straight to destroying his comms... then Dedra arrived.
If he'd delayed AT ALL - for example by taking Lonni somewhere safe, the ISB would have his comms and leads to every contact he had.

Killing Lonni was not a moral act, but it was necessary. You cannot build a rebellion and enjoy the luxury of clean hands.

Yeaaaaa Lonni was cooked the moment he said he was burned and told Luthen they could be closing in on him any moment. At that point, it's all about figuring it out what Lonni knew and making sure that info got back to the Rebellion. And look how quickly they closed in, from the time Luthen left the meeting to go back to the Gallery to destroy the equipment and Dedra ringing his doorbell. He couldn't get Lonni out if he wanted to. He had to go.

8:26 Luthen said there was good and there was fast. Lonni only had fast. Andor is faced with the same choice at the beginning of Rogue One.

Yeah idk why you’re all surprised or shocked. It was what had to be done to protect the rebellion. “I burn my decency for a sunrise I’ll never see” lonni was a loose end and was willing to do whatever it took to protect his family, which is morally correct but there’s bigger things at risk here.

It's cool how Luthen Rael's last name is his original last name backwards, Lear

I think this is the first time we see a genuine smile on Dedra's face when she is finally face to face with Luthen.

Lonni was a goat, undercover as an ISB agent for 12 years feeding Luthen valuable information.

Leaving that imperial starpath unit behind in season 1 episode 3 was the only mistake Luthan made and it ended him. Crazy
