Considering the other ways Luthen could have died, dying peacefully in a hospital bed with the only real family he had by his side, is actually a better death then I thought he would get.

Lonni Jung…the hero that the rebellion knows nothing about.

"At the moment, only 2 pieces of questionable provenance in the gallery." Such a good line, probably my favourite of the episode.

Just caught that Luthen tells Kleya "Move!" just before they leave for the Lonni meetup. Kleya smiles sadly and at the time we just think it's the emotion of the moment. But later we see in the flashback after the firing squad "You keep it alive until you know what to do with it. And when I tell you to move, you move". The layers of emotional resonance and personal connection in this script. Mind blown

Its brutal how much Luthen basically did for the Rebellion and almost nobody knows about it.
Basically the definition of a Hero they didnt want, but the one they needed...

Elizabeth Dulau, who plays Kleya, said that the character both hated and loved Luthen. Hated him for killing her family but loved him for everything after.
Very much reminds me of Vinland Saga.
ALSO: Kleya was her first role out of acting school. How insane is that???

RIP Luthen, you were a real one. And Kleya is 100% the MVP of this episode. A true one woman army.

One of the most tragic aspects of Lonni's death is that he burned himself to save Luthen. He accessed Dedra's files in a bid to ascertain if she had really identified Luthen as Axis. Only for Luthen to kill him for that sacrifice.

Luthen's S1 monolog hits so hard now. He did give everything for the rebellion.

When Luthen talked to Bix he talked about how the drug only works for a while and then the nightmares come back worse.

And now we know what he was dreaming about.
