  I served in the British Army as an Infantry/Combat Medic for 23 years. I was discharged 2 years ago with Complex PTSD. Shaun I just want to thank you for the content it truly has helped me through some dark days over the last few years. Keep up the great work.

  I think Shawn is an all-star interviewer. This show has had so many incredible characters and Shawn respectfully allows everyone to share their stories without ego, without interruption, and with camaraderie. SRS is a gem.

  My older sister committed suicide 6 years ago at 23 years old. She was a Marine. I miss her every day. I have also struggled with mental health almost my whole short life at 28. You’re words and concerns help me not feel so alone in this world as I’m sure you do for many. Finding this page has helped me so much. Thank you 🙏🏼

  I want to give a shout out to the guys who don’t give up! I’ve lost my entire 4 sibling family in 1 year. The guy who did CPR on my brother as an EMT has kept in touch and offered me a retreat in Canada. Help people if you can. afford it. He doesn’t know me, but it’s been a bond

  my cousin who is a vietnam veteran and very distrustful of the v a and government never got all the money or medical care he was entitled to .In two thousand and fifteen I convinced him to go to the v a on Huntington NY. he walked in And I was met by a Female muslim psychiatrist who asked him&quot; What are you here for the money?&quot; He turned around and walked right back out. When I found out what happened I called up to speak to the doctor in charge and gave them a piece of my mind and told them I was calling every newspaper in New York to let them know what had happened.Every news channel and anybody who would listen. The next thing I know my cousin was called by this this supervising doctor , my cousin finally got the medical help he needed the mental help he needed and the financial help that he was entitled to !! Saved his life because he was suicidal, saved his home and his marriage. Be the squeaky wheel! Demand what you are entitled to starting with Respect! God bless our Veterans and active military. &nbsp;Love you guys! Praying for all of you. Love this show!

  Shawn hit the nail on the head. One of the first things they tell you in trauma therapy is DO NOT compare your trauma to that of others. Everybody processes situations differently. It is one of the main reasons we shy away from seeking trauma therapy. We convince ourselves that our trauma isn&apos;t as &quot;real&quot; or &quot;bad&quot; as a special ops guy, or some other person in a more intense engagement. Trauma is trauma and getting help is paramount.

  I&apos;m there right now. I&apos;m constantly in a state of fight, flight, and freeze. Major depression and anxiety. My sleep is terrible. Night terrors, apnea, insomnia, and sleep paralysis. I&apos;ve been sober in over 9 years and I still battle with this shit. I just started to admit the impact that trauma has had in my life. I&apos;ve been divorced for about 4 years from a 30 year marriage and it still hurts immensely. I don&apos;t think I&apos;ll ever recover from it. I don&apos;t think suicide is an option. I&apos;ve had people close to me and it just hurts the people that are close to you. I have three adult children and don&apos;t want to do that to them. Maybe plant medicine might be the answer but I don&apos;t think I can afford it. God bless you Shawn and your guests for shedding light on this difficult and deadly subject.

  We must remember those Two Young Men (SEALS) lost at sea. I pray that they are recovered for the Families have complete closure. Be great if they are being held captured &amp; are alive. This way there is a chance of a rescue.
