🥋 WAY OF THE EMPTY HAND — VOLUMES I & II: 👉 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HGXH8P26 What happens when full-contact karate stops meeting force with force? The Sabaki Challenge offered a very different answer. Born from Joko Ninomiya’s Enshin Karate, Sabaki combined the brutal striking of knockdown karate with movement, angles, sweeps, throws and positional control — creating one of the most distinctive tournament formats in modern karate. In this episode, we trace the road that led to Enshin Karate and the creation of the Sabaki Challenge, explore what made its rules so different, and ask a bigger question: Why did such a dynamic form of full-contact karate never become truly mainstream? From Kyokushin and Ashihara to Enshin, this is the story of another branch in karate’s continuing evolution. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📖 WAY OF THE EMPTY HAND — VOLUME II IS OUT NOW The story continues.
