  I’m 83 years old and when I was just 17, I took judo with Sergeant Ironside at Patrick Air Force Base.  I went into the US Army we were being taught how to confront an opponent and my friend who was 6 foot two and I was 5 foot four I was flipping dropping and throwing him. The Drill Sergeant came running over and said do that again so I picked him up and threw him with an Ogoshi.  He had me demonstrate many of the other ways that you can throw a person even the stomach throw over your head.  From basic I went on to jump school and then to the 82nd airborne at Fort Bragg and then on to 509th airborne in Germany.  I was there when they were forming up the First Calvary choppers. I had jumped choppers and I didn’t think it was too smart of a deal so I opted out and went back to college. None of my friends came back.

  Thanks for the tutorial! But next time,  please show someone baking a cake,  while describing a self-defense technique.  That way,  we will at least learn something. 😂

  Don't forget all the techniques that fairbairn taught not just the English commandos but also the American paratroopers.

  All of these techniques are taught at ju jitsu dojos in Japan like Aiki Jujitsu and others.

  Don't think anybody is concerned about a review board in hand to hand combat....in combat....use whatever works.

  I know of many of these techniques or points. They are useful to know but as mentioned, some are difficult to practice at full speed or in a realistic manner.

  I'm a 76 yr old Vietnam Era Veteran, and my WW2 Combat Vet, and Officer Father, knew Some of these techniques.
