  I am not a worshipper of actors and actresses, I appreciate their acting skills, their roles, etc. However, Dame Judi Dench is, in my opinion, a cut above others in both skill, humility, and compassion.  If I had to choose 10 people to meet, she would be top of my list.❤

  If anyone deserves such a genological history it’s Judi Dench.. I can just see her telling Maggie Smith and Joan Plowright about it and Maggie rolling her eyes saying ‘Well of course she would have actual connections to Shakespeare’

  The origin of the Billes is Scania. The places Billesholm and Billeberga in Scania, Sweden, which once belonged to Denmark (it was lost in the latter half of the 17th century to Sweden) are named after the Bille family. The castles Vanås slott, Trolle Ljungby slott, Rosendals slott, Råbelövs slott, Näsbyholms slott, Vrams Gunnarstorps slott, Ellinge slott were all owned by the Bille family. <br>The picture of Beata Bille is from an epitaphium of her and her family in Kågeröd church, Scania, close to the manor Knutstorp where Tycho Brahe was born. <br>Judy Dench is also a descendant of Jens Holgersen Ulfstand, the man who built Glimmingehus in eastern Scania. The best preserved medieval manor in Scandinavia.

  There is actually a very good reason for the change of power in Denmark. <br>When the Swedish army approached Copenhagen in 1658 to attack it, the nobility fled to their estates for safety, leaving the city to its fate. <br>The king then had to defend the city with the help of his own garrison, the city&apos;s citizens and the students. Fortunately, assistance soon arrived from the ally Holland, who broke through the Swedish naval blockade with supplies and relief troops to the besieged city. <br>Together they defended the besieged city, where they kept watch day and night and repelled Swedish attacks. <br>The Swedish king abandoned the siege in 1659 after a loss of thousands of soldiers killed, while the city&apos;s defenders suffered only very few casualties, which showed the difficulty of attacking such a strongly fortified city as Copenhagen. <br>In gratitude for the city&apos;s efforts for the kingdom, Copenhagen received special privileges from the king, while the nobility that had failed was stripped of their estates and privileges, and the king introduced a unitary state based on an official position of reliable citizens. Later, the king sold letters of nobility for money, and thus the new nobility emerged in Denmark.

  Hi, Judi Dench, I&apos;m a danish woman, 73, and I am absolutely thrilled hearing about your Danish ancestry to very old Danish aristocracy and the always fascinating story of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, and the clear connection to Kronborg Castle in Elsenore. To think playing Ophelia as a debutante in your acting carriere is truly remarkable. It must be destiny. <br>Of course you are primarily Irish, and your father was a remarkable man too.
