This entire album is about change. And the holy trinity makes that very clear.

Disposition is the realization that something is wrong, and that it needs to be solved. Watching the weather change.

Reflection is well…reflecting on everything. Your life, decisions and everything you have ever done, and embracing it.

Triad is the resolution.
Freedom.
You have come to terms with yourself and all of your shortcomings, and they don’t effect you any more, and there is nothing holding you back anymore.

Disposition.
Reflection.
Triad.

The Holy Trinity.

My father is being moved to a hospice and he’s finally reaching the end of the road after battling and overcoming brain cancer, twice, over the past 15 years. Invincible on fear innoculum always makes me think of my pops, the warrior. Today I just wanting to scream and break shit and cry. I am Sad, angsty, cold/too warm/ can’t get comfortable and then realizing it won’t get better if I don’t reflect and triumphantly push on with my head held high. FIGHT ON. F*** CANCER. GOD BLESS HUMANITY. - Stokhos

People will listen to this hundreds of years from now in awe. Lateralus is TOOL’s gift to mankind. What a fucking experience.

Had a mushroom trip 7g with a buddy of mine back in 2019, dark with humming purple florescent lights and my very overly large tv to couch ratio. Smoking weed, having the calm after the chaos storm of the shroom. My roommate put this exact video on, seen them live in 2017, listened to them my whole life but somehow missed these ones. Beyond the shrooms and weed, being stoned.. I will never forget the depth of emotion this song brought out of me, hearing it that first time stoned. Felt the true raw peace, the forever of my being engrained in the universe from the moment it started to its powerful, jumpy bouncy ending. Pure colorful natural art expression, nothing more human than unfiltered art or expression. It's stupid to call the music divine but that experience was. You get a couple peaceful moments in life its up to you to choose them, hold them close in time. Fs one of those moments

Even if I still personally love Ænima the best, Lateralus is certainly Tool's masterpiece work.

During the Lateralus tour they’d jam a segue before playing the sister songs, it ended up becoming the main verse of Wings for Marie II

I got to see TOOL play this whole arrangement In Concert once. It was good to hear them play more obscure stuff like this.

Maynard was wearing nothing except a Speedo. He was Barefooted on stage and Painted in Blue from head to toe... Like A Smurf!!
