  Btw, youtube compression kills the quality of the digital sections (due to the noise and low resolution), especially in the no moon sections. Watching at 4k helps deal with the noise and lets you actually see something

  It's honestly wild seeing how far DNV is coming along, still have an NVG30 myself for night walks or just roaming the house at night, but man this gets me excited to see what comes down the pipe in the next 5-10 years.

  Weight is another thing that&apos;s worth comparing. the DNVS 14 is only 7.4oz<br><br>I think once someone makes a dedicated bino version of it, I&apos;m probably gonna jump on it.<br><br>Also digital sees further into the IR range than analog, so it&apos;s possible to use a 1050nm illuminator that analog night vision won&apos;t pick up

  Excellent review. I have some trigger time on an ANDV G14se and I have to say: it’s catching up. The ADNV is about $1600, so it’s in the range of affordability. The 100fps and 1” sensor seems to be the ticket as far as latency. I think as sensors improve, the gap will close. It is however difficult to justify buying digital in the analog price range. The key to me is, keeping digital more affordable than analog and that’s why the ANDV G14se is so appealing.

  I think this has been one of the best demonstrations of the difference between gen 2+ 1400 fom budget tubes and fairly decent gen 3 wp tubes (which is still pretty close to the more budget gen 3 wp tubes). its not a huge difference under the full moon, but no moon makes a huge difference

  Honestly the dnvs14 pro looks better and more clear than the highest end analog you had. They all look better under ir illum too. Just how much detail there is, not other factors like hz or battery life. The digital looks so crispy and clear under illum, the analog is still fuzzy. Would be nice to have one integrated with a thermal. Bino with integrated thermal and under 5k.
