  State’s taxpayers are funding what should be a private road. Those isolated islands should stay exactly that-isolated.

  🤔🤔🤔<br> A friend of mine rented a house in Hatteras in Summer’s &nbsp;2009 and he invited us.<br>I still remember that vacation <br>The tides were so high , we took pictures of the lighthouse &nbsp;, we moved around those islands. A lot of entertainment, many places to eat, shopping, fairs etc <br>We had to end up early our days down there because of the Hurricane warning to the East Coast.<br>We visited other East Coast states and the North Carolina has the second best white sandy beaches behind Florida.<br>If you see the Map<br>That’s not belong to the State <br>That’s belong to the Atlantic Ocean <br>The State spent billions of dollars on two bridges <br>The solution???<br>A Big Wall like Holland have <br>Mike Bloomberg after Sandy he said that but nobody’s listened

Hatteras Island and &quot;Pea Island (Federal Wildlife Refuge-the full name) was meant to be a WILDLIFE REFUGE not a get richer scheme for spoiled rich beach rental cottage owners! &nbsp;The Cape Hatteras National Seashore was donated by families 100 years ago to be a WILDLIFE REFUGE! &nbsp;The Dare County Board and people like Chairman Woodard ( from Portsmouth Virginia not here) have taken over Hatteras Island and the voices of the people who actually live here have been silenced by the News coverage on every issue, &quot;WE THE PEOPLE&quot; WHO ACTUALLY LIVE HERE ARE HAVING OUR LIVES DESTROYED BY THE LOCAL GOV.! &nbsp;The Dare County Board allowed 90% of the birds and animals to be killed and their habitats destroyed, putting us in a complete eco-collapse which is why the dunes are devoid of the dune grass that kept them in place for 80+ years. The Dare Board has pressured the NC Coastal Resource Commission and Coastal Studies Institute, Dr. Reid Corbitt, &nbsp;to lie to the public about why Hatteras Island eroded so fast in the last 10 years. Without the animals and birds to fertilize the dune grass the dune grass died and the dunes failed all over the Island. The lawsuit against the Dare County Board to save the animals and birds (by a founding family and permanent resident), US Dist Court (EDNC) case no. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uV9F6Dti2P4&amp;t=141">2:21</a>-cv-07-FL and In Re Daniel Felix, US Supreme Court, case no. 24-6238 was hidden from the public so the local gov. officials and the complicit News could make the public agree all this money was the ONLY CHOICE and the public would be kept in the dark about the destruction of the Island and the killing of the animals. WFMY News 2 and all the News agencies have been provided email proof of the animal killings, the cover up to deceive the public and the bilking of the public&apos;s tax funds to keep this get rich scheme alive.
