  I noticed that most of the comments here are from Russian people, so I thought I&apos;d leave a comment from someone who lived there. I was born in N.E. Ohio, and my family lived 5 miles from Lake Erie near the Ashtabula River harbor. We spent many summer days on the sandy beach at Lake Shore Park. It was an amazing place to grow up. The lake affects snow, and the blizzards are no joke. Snow piles up, which was awesome for the kids to play in ... and boy, did we. The soil is rich, the grass is green, and the summers are hot and humid.<br> &nbsp;I live in the Appalachian mountains of S.W. Virginia, now, so this video is making me feel a little homesick but nostalgic at the same time.<br> &nbsp;I thank you for reminding me of the best days of my life.

  Lake Superior is true to its name. Beautiful and clear, can see the bottom, swimming in cold blue water. Feels like you are born again with new magical energy!

  Have lived on shore of Lake Michigan for 54 years, it is amazing, &nbsp;and &nbsp;beautiful, &nbsp;but it can be harsh, brutal and unforgiving . It&apos;s always wet. <br>It can be -10⁰ C in winter, and up to &nbsp;35⁰ C , right now. &nbsp;And the 80 miles of fresh water to the west can definitely teach you about vulnerability. &nbsp;Having a Spring, Summer, &nbsp;Autumn and Winter is amazing.

  I have now lived on the west shore of Lake Michigan, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, for 50 of my 70 years now, and I appreciate its beauty everyday. It has a personality that changes constantly. Lake Superior or Lake Michigan do not freeze over, at least in my 70 years.

  This was a true learning experience. I spent much of my childhood summers at my Aunt’s farm very close to Lake Ontario. I lived 800km north of the lake, so the summers by the lake were special. My uncle was a fisherman on Lake Ontario until the lamprey infestation cost him his livelihood. Lake Ontario is dear to me, and I learned a lot. The entire experience was a pleasure. Thank you!🇨🇦

  If anyone that is interested in natural history I recommend visiting Michigan’s Upper Peninsula there is many amazing places to visit. One place is the road cut that exposed North Americas oldest rock and it’s just north of Watersmeet Michigan. I’ve live in this region most of my 60 years.

  Имел возможность покупаться в 3х озерах Эри, Мичиган и Верхнее. Уже несколько лет подряд отдыхаем на озере Мичиган.

  We went camping in Michigan on the lake many times during my childhood. I loved the dunes. We took the Ludington Ferry. That was quite something.

  There is a beautiful song about the “Edmond Fitzgerald” by a Canadian named Gordon Lightfoot honouring those who perished. &nbsp;Beautiful Song !! &nbsp; Thank you for this informative video…. Lake Ontario is 2 hours from the house. &nbsp; So much Indigenous Culture / History throughout the area makes it such a unique place in the world !! 😊 🇨🇦

  The Great Lakes have shaped us for generations, in Canada and the U. S. There is something deep that we people of the lakes all share. It is in our souls.
