  Some of us older folks didn&apos;t have a cordless first drill. <br><br>We had a metal body corded drill. And we remember the first time we were using it with the on switch locked on and that guy got stuck and whipped out of our hands and started spinning around in circles until the cord wrapped around the drill enough to either pull the plug out or the unlucky ones it just stayed still and started smoking. <br>That&apos;s us older folks first drill experience.

  The tape as a depth stop works better if you make it like a flag, sticking out the side. Then as soon as the flag wipes off the chips, you know you&apos;re close, and when it hits the wood, you&apos;re dead on. Better than just trying to line up the tape in the hole and compensating for parallax.

  What a great, informative video! &nbsp;So many folks try to stretch you along for 10 minutes while they deliver 1 minute&apos;s worth of info. &nbsp;Yours covers a lot of ground and never had me wishing you&apos;d condensed it.

  Tip: To extend battery life, don&apos;t leave them charged to 100% because the higher the voltage, the quicker the cells age. Ideally operate in the 20-80% range and store long-term at around 50%. This is not exact science but 4V per cell corresponds to 80% and 3.7 to 50-60%. 18V/20V battery packs have 5 cells in series so multiply these figures by 5. This is true for standard lithium-ion cells that reach 4.2V at full charge.

  I love that you made one of these videos again. It&apos;s been a while. I know you have bills to pay, but this is so much more useful to people than what is the latest sale at Lowes or HD.

  The best drill/driver tip that I ever got was to train yourself to use your middle finger on the trigger. Place your index finger along the body of the tool like you&apos;re pointing at what you&apos;re drilling/driving and you&apos;ll be able to steady the tool much more than if you use your index finger on the trigger.<br><br>Try this: hold a drill in your hand, place your index finger on the trigger, and push up on the end of the chuck. Then place your middle finger on the trigger and your index finger along the side of the body and push up on the chuck. You&apos;ll observe that the second method is more steady and requires more force to move the chuck upward.
