  To be honest I don&apos;t mind Black Ice&apos;s mechanical bloat as there are clearly people that absolutely do want it. What I dislike about the mod is how rigid it is, and I mean for the AI mostly. I don&apos;t mind removing the various fantastical alternative history focuses Paradox introduced to the game, that&apos;s a necessary change if you want a more grounded experience, however forcing the British AI to abandon France even if France is being controlled by the player and is actually doing well is just bad. It&apos;s not even historically accurate as history is a collage of circumstances, change the circumstances and history changes with them naturally. That is to say since in this game France did actually hold rather than make the exact same mistakes they did in real life, the British would have adjusted their own behavior and acted differently. Yet in this mod that&apos;s striving for historical realism it takes an incredibly rigid stance on history. To paraphrase from the legal realm, it&apos;s taking the letter of the law over the spirit of the law. It&apos;s historical accuracy in the sense of this is precisely what happened, rather than this is what happened because of x, y and z therefore if x, y or z changed than history would have unfolded differently.

  BICE definitely rigs France to lose - base game hoi4 does the same btw. Easier to cheese it in vanilla but with historical army and industry the French AI kept dunking on mustache man<br><br>But the war probably ends quicker in this world when an exhausted German army gets curb stomped by Stalin

  the greatest thing about Black Ice is that when Bittersteel plays it, he tends to make the exact complaints that the people he is playing as made irl. Between France complaining about the level of British aid, to Germany screaming that they dont understand how the Russians still have fight left...
