  You can grow garlic alongside strawberries; it's great for both of them. The garlic bulbs will grow larger, and the strawberries will be less susceptible to fungus and slugs. Wishing you a bountiful harvest!

  I made friends with my squirrels... by way of just giving in trying to keep them out of the bird feeder and everything.<br>Now I feed them directly. <br>I buy extra sunflower &nbsp;seeds just for them they&apos;re happy campers with full bellies. No destruction, plus now we work together keeping the pesky bullies the blue jays away from picking on my songbirds and gorging themselves on all the seed.

  Re: squirrels. I&apos;ve been told to put red glass Christmas ornaments on your plants when the tomatoes are starting to ripen. The squirrel goes for the ornament, gets mad that the bright and shiny isn&apos;t edible and moves along to greener pastures.

  I also found that some plants such as Beans can provide extra nitrogen to the soil to help the other nearby plants grow bigger

  Yeah, I’m doing the same thing with my quarter acre lot from my house. Turning it into a food forest. &nbsp;Every year, I learned something new. Every year something works, and then the next year it doesn’t work. I just go with the flow. Thanks for sharing.
