  The FIRST wold cup win for Jugoslavija was in 1970 played in Ljubljana ( Hometown of NBA players such as Rasho Nesterovič, Goran Dragić, Luka Dončić...) The MVP of the chapionships was Slovenian IVO DANEU who was also the captain OF THE FIRST GOLD MEDAL team FOR YUGOSLAVIJA!

  Well... I'm from Italy, I've started to love the game in those years. So many memories. I've loved and hated each one of them... They were our enemies everywhere: in European club competitions (Korac Cup, Champions Cup and so on...); for Italian championship, my Milan team was often in finals with Pesaro and Kicanovic, and, most of all, in the Olympic finals of 1980, the first without U. S. A. That was a golden age, for basket. And me, I was so young that I could jump like a frog. Yugoslavian Brothers: thank you for all that basket. And for Nikola too...

  When Usa took the decison to send the first NBAers to Olympic Games the only team who had the talent to compeet them was Yugo but unfortunatelly was separrated. Of course the damage of a war is more sad but we lost an opportunity to watch a great batle.
