  im still so grossed out by akademi being a """"post-high-school academy"""" NO ITS FUCKING NOT BRUH I REMEMBER ALL THE EARLY BUILDS AND IN ONE OF THEM AYANO LITERALLY SAYS SHES IN HER SECOND YEAR OF HS. the point isnt that its bad that he changed it, but its the fact that i KNOW he still thinks of them as sophomores in his head. its just a public thing so he can cover his ass because he's annoyed that people have a problem with it.

  Objectively, the stupidest goddamn thing about the YanSim lore is the "Aishi curse". It infuriates me to no end because Ayano's condition could easily be explained by her circumstances. She literally grew up in a home where her mother regularly emotionally, psychologically and sexually abused her father. This behaviour would make any child feel numb and detached, and her mom saying those feelings AND the way her dad is treated are completely normal and natural would only make things worse. Her becoming obsessed with the person she's in love with and seeing them as the only way to gain self-worth is also something that happens with people who have been traumatized, except it also made her violent because she grew up in a household where she was made to accept it as okay. This all makes sense if you have the most basic shred of empathy for female characters. But nooooo, this entire generation of women have just always been naturally broken and need a man to fix them. Disgustingly misogynistic writing.

  Simple way to fix the senpai situation with two honorifics and his schedule - make him greet and tour new students. Everyone calls him senpai as a nickname, bc he was like a guide to everyone in school, and he monitors the school with a few students in the morning. Gives him a lot of personality, solves several issues. And would make the entire kidnapping senpai or snap mode more dramatic
