  Its the Rio Cobre River and u are at the Rio Cobre Dam, the edge is name the Spillway, with two rows of Baffle Blocks in the basin. The purpose of the Baffle Blocks is to slow down the water heading down stream when the river rises to prevent erosion.

  That&apos;s DamHead near to Crescent School which supplies Water to Spanish Town and most of St. Catherine .St. Catherine Irrigation Company which is run by Parish Council of St Catherine .

  Yow Noel. Thanks for another adventure. Safety gears (while in water) should always be worn. The likelihood of an accident might be low but the severity could be not worth it

  The AD 1874 was the construction of the original dam in 1874. The old dam was reconstructed from 1992 to 1995, to included the two rows of Baffle Blocks.
