  The typing, with stellaris getting either water or ice, it adds weaknesses and advantages from other types. I wouldn't think its all about the abilities...

  For those thinking this is like pokemon is not. There is no STAB. (Same type attack bonus) So your type doesnt matter for offense only defense. And you can switch skills from other types to any of same family as long as you catch them to unlock the skill.

  Different forms are more about resistances from enemy elements to reduce damage taken, thought. Also, after you unlock any form - their special skills of other elements, now can be used on any other variant (like you can get buff-skill of Glacey and use it on pink Glacey).

  The light dps dark breaker works well for resistance light dark combo means your at least natural offensively and defensively to every type

  So if I understand everything right from this vid and others I've seen. The best use for resources now is to get Alpha's so they have core skill maxed out without spending contracts to bind an item, and get those epic/perfect via the pods we get, 6 free sparkling ones and 10 or so ultra in my case without spending. While the Prismana in that case would be good to leave in the RV as they have higher lvl for production then regular versions of the same nova form.
