The good old days when media did actual investigations and reporting and not just flattery of the reigning government.

"in this country, justice doesn't belong to the weak, it belongs to the powerful" such a raw line
also kudos to you guys for covering this case, it really is difficult to speak up against those people, the power exploitation needs to be addressed more often

Amarmani’s son Aman Mani has been accused of murdering his wife, Sara. Looks like apple didn’t fall too far from the tree.

Amarmani's house or 'bungalow' was just 200 metres away from where we lived in Gorakhpur. It was so massive with huge gates, as a child, we used to peep inside whenever the gates were opened. This case happened when i was 5-6, and probably for the first time came to know how politicians misuse their power and are the biggest criminals living in disguise. We moved from that area, 13 years back.
Also, my father also worked in BRD medical college.

This case was so gruesome honestly. I feel like since she was involved with him since such a young age, her trust in him deepened and she was in a spiral of his love tactics. Even I for sometime in this case believed for their “happy ending” which now I feel so stupid for.

I have not heard of most cases your team presents but this one I absolutely have heard and remember very distinctly. It is a horrifying case that bothered me so much even back then. This was one of the cases that was politically charged, sex scandal, it was dissected in media and woman shamed. The politicians wife was no less evil. Madhumita received a punishment far worse than her crime.

As much as I pity her, the way she acted when she had the power makes me question whether her firebrand poetry was just empty rhetoric. If she really had morals and questioned the system, would she have been so happy to enter into such a situation?
