  I learned most of this stuff 15 years ago from the vids that Arlen Roth did for Gibson&apos;s website. But I still didn&apos;t learn about anchoring the thumb. I think that&apos;s going to be very useful.

  I never really mastered slide guitar, but ironically, muting the strings prepared me to improve my slap-pop bass playing. &nbsp;Still working on slide guitar, though.😏

  I love these videos! I&apos;m not a good slide player at all, but I get so much out of videos like this. I bought Dylan&apos;s signature slide a while back, having had many slides in my years of playing, and his is the one I prefer. I love the material, the shape, and the fit. If I lost it, I would buy another one for sure.

  Incredible! It&apos;s those little subtle techniques that change the entire way of playing slide so that it sounds and plays correctly by eliminating all those unwanted, negative ancillary sounds. I bet these were some techniques that the best slide guitarists in the world employed but were simply just never spoken about. Thanks man!
